Paul Terry was an American animator, producer, screenwriter, and director. He is best known for co-founding the animation studio Terrytoons in 1928 and for creating many popular cartoon characters, including Mighty Mouse, Heckle and Jeckle, and The Farmer and the Cowman. Terry was born in San Mateo, California, in 1887, and died in New York City in 1971.
