Hugh Elliott is a British diplomat who has served as the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Spain and non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary to Andorra since 2019. Prior to this, he was Director for Communications at the Department for Exiting the European Union.

Elliott was born in 1965 and educated at Trinity College, Cambridge. He joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1988 and has held a number of diplomatic posts, including in Moscow, Paris, and Brussels.

In 2014, Elliott was appointed Director of Communications at the Department for Exiting the European Union. In this role, he was responsible for the department's public communication and engagement strategy.
