Deborah Moggach is an English novelist and screenwriter. She was born in 1948 and studied English at Bristol University. She has written 19 novels, including Tulip Fever and The Ex-Wives. She has also written screenplays for films such as Pride & Prejudice and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and was awarded an OBE for services to literature and drama in 2005.
