Kevin Kruse is an American historian and professor of history at Princeton University. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas in 1972. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor's degree in history. He received his master's and PhD degrees from Cornell University. He wrote his PhD dissertation on white flight in Atlanta.

Kruse's research interests include the political, social, and urban/suburban history of 20th-century America, with a particular focus on the making of modern conservatism.
