Abraham H. Maslow was an American psychologist who is best known for his theory of motivation known as Maslow's hierarchy of needs. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 1, 1908. He studied psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the New School for Social Research. He taught at Brooklyn College and Brandeis University. He died on June 8, 1970, in Menlo Park, California.
